Sundays are about being at home and watching a movie. And we couldn't break this rule, so after breakfast we got together and put on screen a movie called "My name is Khan". It gave us the opportunity to talk about the prejudices about immigrants (in this case of an Indian citizen in the United States) and the effect caused by the September 11 attacks in New York City.
We judge people without knowing them, without knowing their reality, without empathizing with them. The most dangerous aspect of this situation is that these prejudices can lead certain people to blame the evils of our countries on migrants and refugees (which is certainly not true) and in extreme cases to act violently against them.
We also talked about the importance of contrasting information on the issue of refugees and immigrants, and the actions we could take to help in this matter. As we could not stay still, we designed an information campaign on the issue of refugees and also on our project, which we would carry out during our visit to the city of Segovia, which would be the next day.
We divided into groups to design triptychs and a banner, in which we all ended up painting and putting our personal touch.
The day closed with a cultural display by our friends from Romania, who celebrated their National Day with us amidst photos, traditional clothing, food and music. The truth is that we had a great time
